CPAWS-NWT Love the Land Photo Contest

Another calendar photo contest for Yellowknifers and NWTers is here and being put on by the CPAWS organization. 12 photos will be selected to be in the Love the Land 2013 Calendar.

CPAWS-NWT

CPAWS-NWT is the Northwest Territories chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. They are a non-profit conservation organization with the aim of protecting Canada’s wilderness.

CPAWS-NWT was formed in 1996 by volunteers, and began to hire staff in 1999. They are based right here in Yellowknife, and their NWT-based volunteer Board of Directors guides their current work.

Photo Contest

The photo contest is open from now until August 31, 2012. Anyone from or visiting the NWT can submit up to five (5) photos. The photos must be taken within the NWT and by the person submitting them.

The categories are as follows:

  • Youth (18 and under) – 2 winners
  • Water – 2 winners
  • Adventure – 2 winners
  • Winter – 2 winners
  • Biodiversity – 2 winners
  • I love the land – 2 winners

Photos must be in jpeg format and can be emailed to ejanes@cpaws.org. The subject of the email must be “Photo Contest” and must include the photo, title of the photo, contestant name, address and phone number and the photo category.
