Weledeh Catholic School is asking everyone to help them get a playground make-over by voting for their Aviva Community Fund project. They are currently in 52nd place this round and need to move up to at least 30th place in order to move to the next round.
Weledeh is in need of a playground “make-over” to ensure there is safe, adequate equipment, and to provide opportunity for fun, stimulating, physical social play. Our current playground is congested and outdated, and has NO GRASS. The ball field is crush and the middle school students have a concrete “play” area. The positioning and quantity of equipment is not conducive to age appropriate divisions of students, and therefore lacks sufficient space for free play. All of which result in increased behaviours and conflict, and less FUN.
