An evening of Aurora Watching and Snowmobiling

It seemed like winter just instantly showed up. Great Slave Lake finally froze over clearing up all the clouds and bringing back the clear blue sky, the lakes froze enough to go on, we got a big dump of snow and the Aurora came out.

It was a truly northern evening last night as I walked home under the Aurora at only 4:30p.m. So I fired up my snowmobile, grabbed my camera and set out.

At around 7:30p.m. I was sitting in a bay on the far side of Frame Lake and was capturing the Aurora. This is what I got:
