With the days getting long and warmer and at the time of publishing it being March Break for the students of Yellowknife I thought what better time to publish a podcast episode on Yellowknife’s tobogganing hills.
Unlike what I said in this episode it has been over 2 year since the last one I did, almost three, but I plan on doing these again on a semi-regular basis.
Yellowknife has 4 well known sliding or tobogganing hills around town.
- Bristol Pit – Near the Airport – Experienced or snowboarder
- The NUP Sliding Hill – Behind the Northern United Place on a blocked off road – Beginner to Intermediate
- Jackfish Hill – On Jackfish Lake off the Highway – Intermediate to Experienced
- Parker Park – Off of Finlayson Drive North – Beginner
