Yellowknife resident and blogger of chrisme-nwt.ca, Heather, recently met with Mayor Heyck and another resident who runs a webcam about the possibility of getting an official Yellowknife Webcam setup. You’ll remember I first mentioned her last week in this post about her plea to the City to set up a webcam.
Heather mentions in her latest blog post on the topic of webcams that in her discussion with the Mayor they talked about costs, benefits, logistics and location.
One thing we discussed was placement of the webcams. Indoor vs. outdoor, Old Town vs. downtown… The possibilities are endless really, and we’ve decided to get some feedback on where people would like to see these cameras placed. – Heather
She goes on to say they are looking for feedback from everyone on where they think a webcam would go best in Yellowknife. If you have an idea on where a webcam can go head over to Heather’s blog and leave a comment or leave one here and I will pass it on.
On Pilot’s Monument!
At the airport overlooking the runway!
On the bush pilots monument in old town ! Something able to record 360°, view on the lake both side and on downtown !
Yes, on Pilots Monument you would be able to do this.
