Then and Now: Pilots Monument to New Town

I would love to have been around in Yellowknife when the city was just expanding up the hill. It must have been a big era in Yellowknife when the town grew into a city. Nowadays we hold Old Town very dear to us.

Looking at the older photo, which again I don’t know the exact year, I see a lot missing that is there today. Houses, buildings and the information plaque.

What are some of the places you remember in Old Town that are not there today?

If you have photos of Yellowknife’s past, the city, buildings, landscapes and want to share them please email me through the contact page, as I’d love to continue this series.
