NWT SPCA wins $300,000

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up one morning and hear you now have an extra $300,000 in the bank to better yourself? Well that is what it must have felt like to be a part of the NWT SPCA. This morning on CTV’s Canada AM Aviva announced that idea #5887, the NWT SPCA Northern Community Animal Shelter, won the top price of the $300k.

Wade and everyone at the SPCA is overwhelmed with glee and took to Facebook to announce the news and to thank everyone. Without the help of the strong community Yellowknife is they probably wouldn’t have made it. It is always awesome to see such support from residents and businesses.

I look forward to following the next stages of the plan.

  • From coast to coast to coast, Canadians need to focus more on spay and neuter, including feral cats. Good luck Yellowknife, let us know how it is going!
