Travel out of the city of Yellowknife along a remote road to a secluded location untouched by anyone else where you will find a private lake for viewing the Aurora Borealis. During your experience, a canvas tent will be heated up making it a cozy spot for you to warm up while waiting for the new showing of Northern Light.
While on this tour you could be treated to a hot beverage, northern inspired snacks or even be taught how to make fried bannock depending on your guide.

9:00 – 9:30 p.m. – Pickup from your accommodations,
9:30 p.m. – Drive out to the Great Aurora Tent location,
10:00 p.m. – Arrive at the Great Aurora Tent,
10:00 – 10:30 p.m. – While tent is warming up we do jumping jacks, go sliding or snowshoeing,
10:30 – 1:00 a.m – Watch, photograph, and marvel at the spectacular Aurora Borealis,
1:00 – 2:00 a.m. – The safe delivery of you back to your cozy accommodations,
Warm clothing adequate for potentially being outside for multiple hours: hat, scarf/neckwarmer, parka/jacket, snow pants, winter boots, and wool socks.
For extra comfort, hand-warmers are useful but not required
For the best Aurora photos, a camera that allows you to adjust shutter speed, aperture, and IS0, and a tripod are required.
