Aurora gets Noticed

This September has been one of the best for Aurora (Northern Lights) viewing. There have been many clear nights were the lights just dance and dance. There has also been many spectacular photos taken of the Aurora and one of them was just recognized internationally.

NASA has chosen a shot of the Aurora looking out into Yellowknife Bay as its Astronomy Picture of the Day. The photo was taken by Yuichi Takasaka who is a resident of Yellowknife.
