The Teenage Wasteland Web Series

The Teenage Wasteland web series, a series about 20 somethings who are to lazy to accept life and adulthood, is coming to Yellowknife. The group has finished three episodes and plans on shooting its fourth here in Yellowknife.

They are hoping this episode will be bigger and better, so they have sent out a casting call. All you Yellowknife actors better get on this now. Here is what they are looking for:

- Hippies/protesters: open to men and women of all ages, there’s a couple speaking roles available.

- Uncooperative videostore clerk: looking for a male aged 25-40. Must be able to stand his ground and refuse to reach a bargin. Dialogue role.

- Thugs: A group of men that you’d expect to see walking off the set of The Sopranos. Silent Roles.

- Japanese newscaster: Female newscaster, must be asian and able to speak Japanese. Dialogue role.

- Government Minister: Male, 40+. Gotta look good in a suit and give off a ministerial pressence.Dialogue role.

- Minister’s wife: Female, 40+. Silent Role.

Ice Bloggers NWT – Preview

When the NWT bloggers (including myself) saw the preview of Ice Pilots NWT, we though “We could do something like that”. So a dream was born and shortly after we all got together on a Sunday afternoon to film the Trailer Video. So here it is on the launch day of Ice Pilots NWT, the Ice Blogger of the NWT.

Credit goes to John and Megan for the idea. In the video Jason, Nancy, Megan, Michael, Karen and myself. Our hope is to make a bit of a web series out of it, with a monthly show starting sometime in January 2010.

Sunday Video: Old Town and Dump Talk

Today is  Sunday and it is the day of rest, so I’m not going to post anything to deep. I thought a video would be perfect.

Along my travels through the Internet, specifically YouTube, I came across this interesting video of none other than old town. The video was produced by WAMP Film production and Paul Gordon. I’m not sure as the exact time the video was shot but in the description it states it aired in 2001 or 2002. Take a look.

I also found the video below by the same user and thought I would share it to. I actually found this video years ago while in high school and thought it was a neat idea. It is called “Dump Talk” and I thought and still do a think it would make a great web series. *Note there is a little bit of bad language in the video, among other crappy things, so be warned.
