Take a drive with us in our bright red Jeep as we explore the areas around Yellowknife for the spectacular Aurora Borealis. This little tour is perfect for small groups who want an intimate experience viewing the Northern Lights. Your guide is a long-time Yellowknife who grew up driving this area, exploring its roads and gazing at the marvel that is the Aurora that is regularly dancing over Yellowknife.

What is provided:
On each outing hot beverages (tea, coffee or hot chocolate) will be provided or will be picked up as we leave town. During the adventure, a local treat will be provided, prepared by your guide made with local ingredients.
Photography tips for photographing the Aurora will also be provided. Your guide has spent many years capturing photographs of the Aurora and now he wants to bring that knowledge to you.
What you should bring:
Warm clothing adequate for potentially being outside for multiple hours. Hat, scarf/neckwarmer, parka/jacket, snow pants, winter boots and wool socks.
You may also want to bring your own hand warmers.
To take the best Aurora photos you should bring a camera that allows you to adjust the settings and a tripod.
9:00 – 9:30 p.m. – Pickup from your accommodations
9:30 p.m. – Pickup hot beverages and roll out of town
9:30 – 10:00 p.m. – Explore the boreal forest for the perfect Aurora viewing location.
10:00 – 2:00 p.m – Watch, photograph, and marvel at the spectacular Aurora Borealis.
2:00 – 2:30 p.m. – The safe delivery of you back to your cozy accommodations
