Howto Submit Events

If you wish to add your event(s) to the YkOnline calendar it is simple to do once you have a YkOnline account. You are able to add the event through the dashboard of YkOnline. Here is a step by step guide as to how to create an account and post your event(s).

Quick Guide:

  1. Login (or Register) by CLICKING HERE.
  2. Click “New Post” at top of dashboard page.
  3. Write all event info in text field.
  4. To submit event click “Submit for Review” on the right.

Advanced Guide:

1. Scroll to the bottom the homepage of YkOnline.ca and click on “Register” is you do not have an account. If you already have an account skip to step 3

2. Create yourself a username and enter in the e-mail address you wish to use. Please make sure you use a real e-mail address, as your password will be e-mailed to you. Finally enter in the security code and click register. You will then have your temporary password e-mailed to you.

3. Once you receive the e-mail with your temporary password, follow the link in the e-mail (http://ykonline.ca/wp-login.php) to the login page. Enter in you username and temporary password.

4. The first thing you should do when arriving in the YkOnline dashboard is change your password to something easier to remember. You can do this by going into you “Profile” on the left hand side.

5. After changing your password you can click on the “New Post” button at the top right of the page. Once into the new post editor enter in all the necessary information for your event. Click “Submit for Review” on the right next to the text field when your done. You’re event will be displayed shortly.

Logging in again is easy, go to the homepage of YkOnline and in the right hand sidebar closer to the bottom is the login form.
