Protecting the Jewels of the North

The Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation is holding a men’s health event: Protecting the Jewels of the North. The event features dinner, a creative show of 36 pieces of locally embellished underwear modeled by (supposed) rough and rugged northern men, and a performance by the Gumboots.

When: Saturday, June 4, 2011
Where: Adlair Aviation Hangar (122 Archibald St – Diamond Row, across from the Folk on the Rocks site)
Cost: $100 – tickets are available at the Foundation’s office in Diamond Plaza

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Diavik Diamond Mines Inc., a commemorative book with professional photographs of the boxers, models and artists, plus personal stories from all of those involved, will also be launched during the event.

Proceeds from the event and book sales will go toward men’s health services and programs at the Stanton Territorial Hospital.
