Tis’ the season to light up the tree. The City of Yellowknife and the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories are teaming up and inviting everyone out an evening of holiday cheer. It is the annual “Christmas Lights Across Canada” and on Thursday, December 1, 2011, it will be happening in Yellowknife.
Starting at 4:45pm in the City Hall front foyer the Mildred Hall Choir will be singing, then at 5:00pm Mayor Gord Van Tighem will turn on the Christmas lights to bring on in the holiday season.
A procession will follow and make its way to the Legislative Assembly for festivities. For more information you can call City Hall at 920-5676
