I personally don’t like using a platform I created for personal gain, but when the platform in question has to do with the award I don’t see why not.

With Social Media being a passion of mine I like to portray a positive message about Social Media and show people some of the positive things that it can be used for.
I remember when there were only a small amount of users in Yellowknife and slowly we grew the community. Now there is an ever growing community of Twitter users and Facebook Pages for almost every event and organization. We are seeing businesses come online and join the conversation everyday now.
This blog is a good example of a Social Media community, blogs were in fact one of the first forms of Social Media. With YkOnline.ca coming up on three years, it is great to see we have grown into a nice little site that has constant discussions happening on it.
