Old Town has been announced as one of the finalists in the Canadian Institute of Planners Great Places in Canada. Old Town, as I’m sure you know, is a special place to Yellowknife. Not only is it where the settlement of Yellowknife started and where many of our roots come from, but it is also the unique place. Old Town has so much to offer anyone, art, culture, music, scenery, float planes, house boats, and the list can go on.
A judging panel of renowned planning experts will make the final decision on the winner will be announced in May. Good luck Old Town!
