Every year I have taken a break from work and headed out on the open road. I enjoy traveling through Western Canada and seeing the landscape and places I rarely see. I’m sure this is the same for a lot of people. Maybe not Western Canada, but anywhere in general. As much as we may love living in Yellowknife (or not) we have to get out for a bit. Whether to visit family back home, or just to see something new.
On September 1st I will be heading to Calgary to start my 20 day journey. I’ll be heading through Alberta into the mountains and then into British Colombia. If you’re interested you can read more on my personal blog travel section. This post is not about where I’m going, it is about the huge favour I need to ask.
YkOnline.ca means the world to me. I have met so many amazing people through this website and it is the Yellowknife Community that I truly cherish. Now because I will be away for a couple of weeks, and most likely out of Internet range, I’m hope some of you wonderful people out there would be interested in contributing a post or two.

Posts can be about anything. Don’t think your post wont be good enough! Write a review of a local restaurant, write about a memory of Yellowknife, some history, write a tourist tip you have, write about anything Yellowknife. Posts do not have to be long, unless you want them to be. A couple of sentences and a photo or two is awesome!
