Back in 2008 the City, by City I mean Yellowknife, was doing some road work on the road and sewers on main street in front of the Baker Center and this is what it looked like:
The reason I’m bringing this up is because I took those pictures Yesterday, yes May 10, 2009. They are back, those bright orange dividers and the road work has begun.
I can’t help but wonder why they are going to dig up this road yet again. They have already out lined the large patch of asphalt they will be pulling up. What I don’t understand is, if this was planned road work why did they pave last years work? I mean they still haven’t paved the road on Finlayson Drive, so why did they bother on main street if they knew they were going to have to do more work the following summer? We could also guess that maybe something broke or something wasn’t fixed properly last year but we can’t confirm anything.
For the time being please drive with caution.
